Ingredients
- Pineapple skin, chopped largely
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 6-7 slices fresh ginger
- cardamom seeds, about 8 pods crushed.
- 3 star anise pieces
- opt. a small amount of astralagus
Instructions
Don’t compost or throw away your pineapple skin until you use it for tea! After enjoying your pineapple:
Bring a pot of water to a boil, add the pineapple skin and herbs. Boils for 15-20 minutes. DELICIOUS!
The skin contains a lot of bromelaine which helps to reduce pain and inflammation.
If you can’t grow your own pineapple or find an organic one, first soak the whole pineapple in warm water with baking soda to help remove or neutralize some of the pesticides.
