- 1 big head of organic broccoli
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 6 cloves garlic, crushed and minced
- 2-4 TBSP Nama Shoyu or other organic soy sauce or tamari
- Sesame Seeds
- Optional Thai Chili or crushed red pepper flakes
Crush garlic first and let it rest to bring out its beneficial allicin.
Prepare your broccoli, I like to cut them into smaller florets and remove all but about an inch of the stem.
Heat your olive oil, add optional chili or red pepper flakes if using. Add the broccoli sautéing briefly. Mince the garlic and add it, stirring a lot to keep the garlic from burning. Cook until garlic and broccoli is tender to your liking, turn heat down to low or off. Stir in soy sauce mixing it with the olive oil that is in the pan as you stir it into the broccoli.
Toast sesame seeds lightly. Top broccoli with sesame seeds.
