Ingredients
- 2-3 Organic Apples
- 1-2 tsp butter or ghee
- pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup or more nuts of choice such as cashews, almonds, walnuts, pecans, hazelnuts
- 2+ tsp cinnamon powder
- 1/2 cup water or more
Instructions
Using a large skillet, add ghee to skillet and set heat to medium high. While skillet warms up core and chop your apples (leave skins on –especially if using organic apples).
Place apples in the skillet with salt and nuts. Stir until apples start to brown. Add the cinnamon and stir well. Pour in 1/2 cup or more of water, increase heat slightly and simmer until apples are soft and caramelized and water is absorbed. Add more water if necessary.
