Facial lymph massage: Before applying oils or serum to your face you can do a facial lymph massage that reduces puffiness around the eyes. I apply my gentle facial cleanser then massage as follows:

  • Using the side of your index fingers, starting in the middle of your forehead sweep outward with a slight pressure across the forehead, above your ears and slightly downward behind the ears. 4-5x
  • Using your fingertips sweep from the outside of the eyes upward and outward toward your hairline 4-5x
  • Then grab the hair just to the outside of the eyes and pull your scalp away from your skull and upward while you blink your eyes.
  • With your knuckles sweep under your jaw line and down the sides of your throat. 4-5x
  • Pull the hair behind the ears gently to again move the scalp away from the skull and slightly upward —its is if you are giving yourself a little facelift.
  • Gently pinch the bridge of your nose
  • Gently pinch the inner corners of your eyebrows and blink looking downward 10x. Repeat pinching the middle of your eyebrows, and again one more time pinching the outer corners of your eyebrows.
  • Sweep your hands across your face. Wash your face, apply toner and a spritz of a hydrosol, then your under eye serum, and finish with your moisturizer.

Why these ingredients?

Broccoli seed oil is a healthy source of retinol, most retinol products on the market come with substantial side effects. Broccoli seed oil is also high in vitamin A and fatty acids that help the skin form a protective layer that resists drying.

Rosehip seed oil! contains peptides which help improve skin health by boosting collagen production and enhancing hydration.

Pomegranate seed oil, chia seed oil, and camellia seed oil are all very high anti-oxidants oils with high levels of vitamins C and E.

Aloe vera gel. Aloe barbadensis has a similar compositions and biological activity to hyaluronic acid. It also contains some hyaluronic acid. Aloe topically and internally can be of benefit to the body’s supply and production of hyaluronic acid by stimulating fibroblasts, which also boosts collagen and elastin production.

Honey due to it’s humectant properties. I came across several studies combining hyaluronic acid with honey for optimal moisturization and protection. Honey may not help your body produce hyaluronic acid but it can help the body in similar ways as hyaluronic acid. Honey is also highly anti-bacterial and can aid in warding off eye infections.

Eyebright can be applied topically to help reduce eye inflammation and irritation.

One of the most well-known benefits of eyebright is its ability to soothe irritated eyes. Whether it’s from allergies, dry eyes, or exposure to environmental irritants, eyebright’s anti-inflammatory properties can help reduce redness, itching, and burning sensations.

Coffee CO2 contains caffeine which reduces puffiness and dark circles under eyes.

Grapefruit is an astringent oil that moves lymph and aids in reduce bagginess around the eyes. It also contains naringenin, which inhibits the enzyme hyaluronidase which breaks down hyaluronic acid in the body.

Carrot seed and Helichrysum are some of our best aromatic regenerators. Helichrysum also improves micro-circulation while carrot seed helps to heal broken capillaries.

Neroli has a distinctive action for supporting skin renewal.  Frankincense is excellent at lightening age spots and improving over all skin tone.

Rose has a tightening effect helping skin to look and feel more youthful while brightening complexion.  Rose is gently cooling — skin health can be interrupted by internal and external heat, rose reduces heat and inflammation.  Rose is known to create and restore clear and lustrous skin
